adzzy
Hey all Did anyone read the fishing column in the Daily Telegraph on Friday stating a 105 kg king fish was caught in the harbour with 4 hooks in its mouth during the week does anyone know if this is true? and if so any more info cheers
Josh88
Cant be true, you'd be hard pressed to find a kingfish over 60kg in most places let alone Sydney. Im guessing the 'Kg' got mixed up with 'cm'.

caranx
It was the length, not the weight.

Gorms
You ever seen the sticker that reads: "Is that the truth or did you read it in the Telegraph?
caranx
Yep, thats about right for the record. Some 50kgs were in the latest nz fishing mag. Pretty sure they max out around the 60kg mark. And yep, the tele isnt the most accurate source of truth. Edited January 17, 2010 by caranx

And yep, the tele isnt the most accurate source of truth. Have to say, we have had some 15 plus bust ups within 4 days. and have landed about 10 fish between 93 and 101. A mate of mine landed a 103 with 3 hooks inside, so i guess tne 4 hooks and 104 is definately not out of the question. Wrinks
Aqua Naut
The telegraph have no idea.......Up north or NZ would you find such a monster like that........Sydney Harbour Maybe 120cm would be the biggest I've seen caught here.
