james7 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 (edited) Just gotta love South West Rocks! A few early morning and late afternoon shots. However, the water was a bit dirty and "foamy" when I first arrived. Luckily it cleared up in a few days. Cheers Peter Edited February 16, 2010 by peterS

arpie Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) Hi Peter Lovely Pics!! You must have been up early for some of them?? It is a magic spot, eh? SWR is one of my favourite fishing spots & also one Keith's triathlon destinations! There is a great little Triathlon held there at the end of Feb every year & we used to stay for 4 or 5 days. Over the last 3 years, a mad bunch of kayakers have been meeting up for a week of fishing, based at the Gaol Camping Ground at Arakoon. Some for marlin, others, like me, in the estuaries & rivers - or maybe offshore, but it will have to be dead calm! All good fun!! I'll be there for 9 days from the end of Feb & can't wait! My fly fishing buddy from Canberra is coming up too & we hope to meet up with Wendy for a fish, too! Cheerio Roberta I've fish from those rocks in the 4th picture down & have heard tales of terrific fish being caught there! You can get Cobia from the rocks behind the Gaol - literally just metres from the edge of the rocks. Edited January 28, 2010 by Roberta
johnno Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) As always Pete some great pics champ I am luck enough to have been going there since i was 2months old with grandparents that live there and having a holiday house. it is a very nice place but has had some major changes over the years. And with highway upgrades it is becoming faster and faster to get there. Edited January 28, 2010 by johnno
