What sort of Trev?

Great fun on light gear & there are usually plenty of them up this way.

I think I hold the Raider record for one on a lure.

I think you will find thats a Brassy Trevally (Caranx papuensis)

Big Eye

Note the bottom tailfin, Brassy's are Yellow.

One more defining feature but I wont bore you with that.

I think the jewfish record holder is more of an achievement lol, how big was the one you caught, I have tried looking.

not meaning to hijack the thread but any idea on the type of trev this is

i caught it up at cairns last yr

i called it for a gt and its my biggest to date ha

i caught 2 this size on the one popper on my next cast

Looks like a small Tea leaf trevally, softer rear fins than a GT.
