But i've heard of people having trouble with the same length. I think it comes down to the baggage people, and who is accepting the bags at the airport.The airlines guidelines seem vague at times. Reels with line on as hand luggage is another grey area, I know people who had check they're hand luggage in with the suitcases because they had line on they're reels. I haven't had any problems.
