outdoordan
I have been fortunate enough to have spent the last 3 days along side some great mates, Chasing the iconic Murray Cod. The natural beauty of the australian outback is almost as mind blowing as the fishing. The first cast of the trip secured my first Cod, and that set the pace for the next 2 days. We caught a total of 40 Cod between us, with plenty coming in the 3-4kg class and a couple of 6-7kg models thrown in for good measure. But the icing on the cake was a 109cm brute which took a fancy to my surface lure. We could only estimate the weight, but we have on good authority that a fish in that class would be nudging the magic 50lb mark. I only have a few photos, but i'm sure Grant and Tony will contribute some of the pics from their cameras. I think i got my Mojo back with vengence.... Hodgey
What a bloody shame no-one was there to take your picture with that beast, Dan Without a doubt the largest cod I have heard of landed on a surface lure. That is a brilliant effort. Thanks for the calls, texts and general sh!tstirring while you were away fellas ... I owe ya now! Keep the photos coming. Cheers Skip
