what about this fish? is this also a shovel nose?

I was told this could also be a banjo shark

it was fairly strong..

Is this possible to eat.. how would you kill/clean/fillet it... and do you have any recipes?

yes on 6kg line lol

Was funny i had a lady abuse me for taking it out of the water for a picture, and then abused me when i released it were people were swimming, cause shovel noses are man eater lol

Yer have caught a few big one's up in qld. never seen another one that big down this far south though

Thats right mate. They get big up north. Only ever seen small shovelnose to a max of 1m in NSW. I'm sure there are some bigger ones though! One time up in noosa i caught 3 over 130cm in one day on live mullet. Biggest was 163 from memory!

I'm sorry Mac attack but I think you have not identified this sepia fish correctly ones that size are called "jack hammer nose sharks!"
