rikkigilbey
so for the past 3 months ive been over west doing my 3 months on a station to extend my visa, and lo and behold i land a job on the coast, where by, the station has 45km of completely private coastline, a fishermans dream!! and after 21 days of solid work ,without as much as an smidgen off, i get an afternoon to my self so i hope on the bike and headed to the coast to start my epic adventure, and from that evening on i was hitting the coast every oppotunity i could as the fishing was, to put it simply, incredible. Now im not going to sit here and recount 3 months of amazing fishing, but what i will do is show you a few/lots of photos of my adventures. enjoy. 45cm yellowfin bream productive beach session very long long tom beautiful flatty spotted cod pink snapper nice reefy, no idea what species though?? my first threadies off the beach my first tahwine another productive trip to the beach baldchin groper, tastiest fish of the entire trip! The places i fished were just beautiful, and i cant wait to go back, here are few extras. Thanks for viewing. And if you ever get the chance, go to shark bay!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Poacher
Awesome work Gilbsta, sounds like it was relaxing enjoyable fishing too. Good range of species in a remote spot. Would be fun riding down there on the quad bikes too. Very envious, The Poacher

rjc123
Top report mate! Very envious Some great fish you got there. A few of the salmon you got though are Blue Salmon not threadies. The first couple in the photo with the tailor look like small threadies but the others are Blues. Top fish! Did you eat the salmon. Blue Salmon is very underated... Others say threadies are better than barra! Tastes great if you ask me! Cheers, Tom

rikkigilbey
i was defiantly counting my lucky stars on this one. and even though i would work 12-13 hours a day, to know i had some new bit of coastline to explore and some awesome fishing to look forward to, in the evenings, and days off, got me through every day no worries. if only real life could be as easy. and what gets me, is the station owner hardly ever visits the coast!!!!!!! and he's been there 35+ years! unbelievable. he said he was glad someone was taking advantage of it haha.
