filthmonger
Launched from Water st about 6am went straight to the squid grounds. Found the squidding extremely slow only managed 3 in about 4.5 hours. With 2 live squid in the tank and 1 extremely large one that had died earlier we headed to a spot we knew there would be some kings lurking. After downrigging for around an hour my T-Curve buckles over and we are on after a good fight and an extremely good shot with the gaf from my mate i get my first legal kingy on board. 72cm we are wrapped. Sashimi feast later that night with the remainder of the squid and home made avocado rolls. 4 blokes couldnt even get through it all! Well and truly hooked on kingy fishing now. SargeRX8
Top stuff man. Looks like a feast there. Quick question about your rod, what action is it rated for? Is it the heavier t curve or lighter ones?

filthmonger
Yeah mate, sliced it up myself. It was a fairly rough job but tasted sensational.
