Bald one
Many trips this season for nothing, however today was our day. Squid were easy despite the wind, we had nine in less than half an hour. hit up the usual markers and pretty quickly lost all our squid to pickers. Stocked up the tank again with more squid and finally pulled a few nice kings off the Dobroyd Markers. Had to be patient, but they did come through. We pulled out an 88, 93 and 94 and a couple of bust ups The guys next to us got a cracker just short of a meter, and we noticed they too had a couple of missed fish. tight lines Baldy
Day's Fishin
Sounds like you had a pretty good time. I fished a couple of Sundays ago and could not get 1 squid even though we fished 3 of our usual squid capture grounds. Had frozen squid on board but could only entice a couple of Banjo sharks to take them. Regards Jeff
wahoo76
Great news. Good to see there around. What time did you get them?

Bald one
By the time we topped up with squid again, it must have been around 10.30 when we busted up on the first one. We also got side tracked by the impossable salmon that just teased and wouldnt touch anything we through at them.
djbazzab
So thats where they were! We tried half a dozen or so markers yesterday for nothing but pickers. They are some great kings, Congrats. Next time out Im going to have to show a little more dicipline and leave the surface fish to themselves to focus on those kings. Cheers, Baz. Yeah pretty hard to resist casting a lure into the bust up, unless you are getting constant action from the kings underneath.
sbf1
Hi Guys very nice catch! Do you float out the squid or send it out weighted? Is it best drifting or on anchor?
