Make your own 'keels' for unweighted, weedless hooks

You can buy lead flashing at any builder's supply or hardware store. You will need a 1.5cm - 2cm gasket punch (or whatever size you need & can find), a board, hammer, and pliers.

Punch out discs from the lead flashing. Fold discs in half with pliers. Clamp on your hook after you have put your plastic on...... or before if you are using these little puppies

Move the weight forward, back or central depending on how you want the lure to fall thru the water

If a tad too heavy, you could always trim a bit from the bottom of the keel.
