  5. Hi, If the rod holder is on a 30 degree angle, then the hole will have to be more like an oval shape. Get a piece of scrap ply wood or something and do a test hole first, that way you can see if the rod holder sits nicely in the hole. Then you can use it as a template. If you dont want to spend the money on a hole saw, just mark out the hole and drill a series of holes around the marked area and punch it out
  6. I was thinking that would be some thing I would like to have a go at as well But by the end of it. I too thought it would take to long to make and it does not cost that much to buy any way But really enjoyed watching the video Cheers

  18. Hi If you wanted it to be water proof you would have to have a raised lip around the opening Or the water would seep in Last month got caught out in gale force winds and took heeps of spray into the boat and didnt get any water in it But if it was left in the rain Im sure water would seep under the seat but I keep my boat under cover when not in uses any way
  19. VHF are the way to go and they are only around the $250 mark new I dont think the hand helds have a strong a signal strength as the other ones I think that if you ever get yourself into trouble you will wish that you would have spent the $250 I know I would the sea is very unforgiving and can turn nasty very quickly so how much is your life worth..........up to you

Hi tuffy I already asked the fibreglass place about the flowcoat and he said you carnt use it on epoxy resin But said I can mix in some white or which colour tint I wanted in with the apoxy resin and paint that on and it would do the job but I have not got enough epoxy left to finish the inside with colour So in the end storage sections I just put some grey out door mats and left the esky part as is Thanks for the idea anyway Cheers Sanfly
