Scratchie
Very funny! To be honest it looked very hot and he just need a swim! Probably shouldn't have taken all his gear with him. Lol Cheers scratchie!!!

arpie
....No seriously, how does one launch on a beach in waves like that?..... Once you commit to going out after observing the breaks for a while - choose the one that has the least number of breaks ..... walk the yak out as deep as you need to be able to get on (you don't want to sit on it & be stuck to the bottom in a receding wave!) ...... Once you are out there - PADDLE REALLY REALLY HARD & DON'T STOP PADDLING til you are beyond the breakers. Have all your weight LEANING FORWARD even if it means moving your rear a little closer to the front (not sitting bolt upright) as this will assist propulsion thru & over the wave & STILL KEEP PADDLING!! and did I mention 'praying'? It seriously looks like he has his hatch opened as well, making it a worst dumping - NOT a good move!!All your gear should be stowed inside the hatch or secured with chords (rods, pliers etc) or you WILL lose it.
