Curious what this is?

Hi Raiders

Filleting my catch from yesterday and found this moving around on my flathead fillet. It's around 3cm long and I'm thinking a worm but I have never seen one before in a fish.

Would love to hear from anyone who has seen this before and knows what it is.

Yeah mate worms get a few blackies with them

barracuda often have worms in them and should not be eaten if they do. Ive never heard of flathead with worms but might be possible. I wouldnt eat it if you think it had worms.

Have never seen one in all the flattie fillets I have cleaned in the past,will be putting liquid combantrim in my live well from now on to clean them out before I take them home .

Chris, I find the occasional white worms in the flesh of small jewies I catch up river. Carefully pull them out and cook the fish properly, don't think they have affected me yet !!!
