JimT
with the downpour this morning , should give the lake a good flush, maybe the beach will be worth a try over the next couple of nights :)
quochuy
Was fishing in the rain in curl curl, nice gutter but no bite. Maybe too big swell or strong current... The rain might come again tonight or tomorrow
RichieR
I'm confused - I was there about a month ago and the lake and the ocean were separated by at least 200m of sand. How does it open ??Is it done by machine or is this a naturally occurring phenomenon ?? RichieR
Wow .. Didn't know that! Interesting read.So where would be better to fish ? The beach chasing fish trying to get out or the lagoon chasing fish that are trying to get in ?

Spooooled
would the channel on the mouth widen after the down pour?
Scratchie
Narrabeen lake was a place that addicted me to fishing as a youngster. When I was 11, I caught a 45cm bream with a handline there on a school camp, which to this day is still my PB. I took it back and the chef, cleaned and cooked it for me. It was better than the slop everyone else got. That's great to hear it still produces! Cheers scratchie!!!
