locodave
Hi, I am going to install some led lights under the gunwales. Last time I used a strong glue for these, worked great, but what if my leds burnt out? So I am wondering what would be a good glue to use that I can remove easily if needed? Would marine silicone work?
mii11x
yes mate, that's what I used. you can cut silicone with a stanley blade if you need to remove at a later time
tjgood
Yeah, Silastic is the go. I've got strip lights in my forby and the boat, both held down with Silastic and both showing no signs of coming away. Just make sure you clean the surface with metho so it has a good clean surface to bond to.

JimT
use a non acidic silicone so it won't have the potential to corrode as much over time Jim...
helliconia
I used a strip of double sided spongy tape. I figure if I ever want to remove them I can scrape off the gluggy backing with a plastic knife.
