the one that got away Posted November 24, 2013 Share Posted November 24, 2013 Hey guys,I've got a trip to Fiji to see family coming up withing 2 week and they live pretty much right next to an amazing reef. So I've settled onto a 8ft 8-10kg rod and 400 sized reel, now just to settle and find a braid. Pretty much between:1. Sunline Super PE 30lb2. Power Pro 30lb3. Fireline Exceed 30lb4. Fin Original 30lbIll be throwing around some plastics and sureface lures (for reef fish, not GT's haha). krause Posted November 25, 2013 Share Posted November 25, 2013 Stick with power pro. Ive put that on both my reels, never had a problem. Originally used fire line because it's a little cheaper, but all it did was freigh and untwist, making it impossible to rig up with. Wind knots are just part of using braid IMO. Dave_ Posted November 26, 2013 Share Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Mate I gotta say Sunline super PE. I've got 8lb and 15lb on my main 2 set ups and it's great all round. Dream casting braid and supple as. As was said before, wind knots are part and parcel with using any braid. Can't really go too wrong with either of those though.
