Fish ID please (grinner)

Question

Caught a larger one of these at the barges over at Scotland island but had no camera.

Got this one at Camaray on a plastic almost the same size at it. Is mouth goes from ear to ear and has a good set of teeth as well.

Coming from Vic ive never caught one but im sure a few of you have.

Any info would be great.

Yeah we definitely don't have those down in Vic, they were new to me since moving up here as well. Didn't know they were good live bait, thanks for that Scratchie, would have to be a fearless predator to have a go at eating something with a mouth like that!

Ill keep that in mind to, Couldn't get a yacca anywhere, and had some rat kings surfacing at northbridge while I was fishing for bream on the yak. There was a school of white bait on the surface shimmering, so I paddled over it with the sounder and got some big marks. Dropped down some plastics but no good.

I've used them in the bay for livies to catch Jew! Have caught two with them as I couldn't get any other livies so they've worked for me.

Thanks

If I catch one and can't catch any yakkas I'll try it
