Yowie Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Fished the deep up from Lilli Pilli from first light. The tailor took salted bonnie fillets when still fairly dark, then none after that. The reddies took squid strips and pillies. Not big reddies, and threw back a few just under size. Plenty of small reddies about, plus a few jackets, but only one big enough to keep. A few light showers about, and not much wind.
boattart Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I'm thinking about a Friday night trip up that way maybe try for a jewfish. 8.00 pm high tide and full moon and thought the rain may have stirred things up. What is the water like? Is it brown murky soup or has it cleaned up a bit?
Yowie Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 Water is fairly clear, not a lot of murky colour. The heavy rain of the last week was at Cronulla, but not upstream which is where it needs to fall to colour the water up from Lilli Pilli.
grandad Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Another good feed, I'm trying tomorow, hope the jackets have moved or got bigger.
Fab1 Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Top stuff yowie! Grandad,Just had a report this arvo from a work collegue that his mates fished costens point and around warnambul yesterday in the miserable weather for a few tailor, salmon and decent size jackets using pillys, squid and peeled prawns in their tinny. Cheers. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
