Boat Hire Sydney Harbour/ Botany

Hi Raiders,

I've got a few mates keen to go for a fish on Saturday and we are thinking of hiring a boat.

Any idea on the best place to go that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg?

Preferrably one that's in the water ready to go, however we could trailer it if need be.

Hi mate,

Not sure about the harbour or botany but i used to hire a pontoon boat in pittwater which was great and good value as you can put 5 or 6 people onboard from memory.

Palm beach wharf in Pittwater is where they are moored.

Boab or Oz boat hire, Ive seen them both launching from Drummoyne but I am sure they will launch from any suitable boat ramp.- the closer to the fishing location the more time fishing you will have.

as for costing an arm or a leg thats what boating costs, The annual costs of owning a boat similar to what these guys let out is close to what it costs to hire one 4 to 6 times a year (without considering what them $ could be earning you elsewhere) and you dont have to wash, tow or find somewhere to store it for the other 360 days of the year. I think the $ through every time I see one.... but I do love having my own boat!
