G'day raiders this week i have been fishing a lot at my waterfront house on the harbour

On Sunday I went down with bread and a 3 inch berekely powerbait ripple shad and had a quick flick

I quickly got a nice 38cm flathead in really shallow water

then fished with my bread I made a massive ball chucked it out and it got taken I got a wind and then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz it wouldn't stop I locked the drag I had about 100m of line and I could see backing I only had 6lb leader I got completely spoled but luckily the 6lb leader broke and I didn't loose all my line. I then packed up and headed home

Yesterday (Tuesday) I decided to go down after school on the high tide I didn't have my lures or leader so I used some old mono and a float and a old rusted hook and some pilchards I caught some nice ones the biggest going 28cm all putting up a great fight

Here are some pics

The bite slowed and I caught a few small ones and headed home again

Today (Wednesday) was special for Gianni (thefisherman6784)

I invited Gianni over after school so we headed to my house for a fish

I have him and nibble tip whiting rod and a Shakespeare reel with some 8lb mono so I gave that to Gianni I was using my other combo

The tide was low and we were fishing in about 50cm of water with pilchards under floats and in about 5 mins I was on is went 28.5cm

We both got a few downs and I got one small fish

Then Gianni was on and it was big when I looked over the nibble tip whiting rods was buckled in half and this was a big fish it was all in the pylons and I said LOCK THE DRAG LOCK THE DRAG LOCK THE DRAG he did and he got it out then we saw it and it was massive it made more dives for the wharf we were on and almost got us stuck in the weed after some really close call it was in the net yyyyyyeeeeeeesssssss it was big and fat it went 43cm and our neighbour offered to weigh it. It came in at 1.27kg what a monster it beat Gianni's PB by 2cm and we were so happy. We got a few pics and realsed the beautiful fish back to get even bigger

We also got the whole fight hook up release and hook up on my gopro

You had a great two sessions without me mate but that session today was amazing

The screaming when that fish was in the net was very very loud

I'm still shocked

It was an amazing fight and to release this beautiful creature is amazing

It was actually 1.37kg and beat my old PB by 3 cm

My old PB was 40 which I caught in the canal

It weighed approx. 700g

It was so skinny but this fish was mind blowing

Thanks for the invite

A day I will never forget

Cheers Gianni

Good job guys. I have noticed on my walks around walsh bay at lunch time that the bream have really come on in numbers in the last few days, more so than I have seen in the last 6 months since I have been going around there. They of course all hang around the no fishing areas but there are some massive ones in there.
