fruitspice Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Hi am looking for some help wiring my lights into the switch panel I want to put anchor light and navigation lights on separate switches but just keep getting wrong does anyone have a good diagram ? I'm running it from a car battery
Geoff Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 The neg from the battery (black wire) is connected to the neg of the lights via an isolated termanal . These wires must not come in contact with the hull. The positive from the battery is connected to the main or master contact point on the switch. The two positivies , are then connected via seperate fuses to the switch. Geoff
antonywardle Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 From the look of the picture of the back of the switch panel I'd say that the black wire attached to the fuses should actually be red and that it should be connected to the positive connection on the battery. Your nav lights go to one red wire your anchor light to a second red wire and what ever else you have on the last switch Then all the negatives going to a single point like a bussbar and then that being connected to the negative on the battery
