0 NaClH2OK9
Top fish is a longfin pike 2nd fish is southern Maori wrasse, ophthalmolepis lineolatus. I believe the Maori element references larger specimens having conspicuous blue lines radiating from the eyes resembling Maori tattoos. 0 Scratchie
First one is a pike and I think the second is a crimson banded wrasse!

0 Scratchie
Thanks Steve, wasn't sure on the second but I knew it was a wrasse! Both throw backs IMO and you lose points for them when fishing with me!
0 NaClH2OK9
I'd have kept the pike for bait.

0 Yowie
Have eaten maori wrasse a few times, a reasonable fish to eat. Best to remove the fillets, then remove the skin and bones. Maybe lose a few points there Scratchie, but they are way in front of those bloody mowies.
0 fishywang34
Larger southern Maori wrasse are pretty nice pan fried IMHO. Not worth keeping the smaller ones.

0 fragmeister
I'd have kept the pike for bait. Pike are a great live bait for kings & Jews but yes they smell terrible...don't know have they live with themselves!
