Top fish is a longfin pike 2nd fish is southern Maori wrasse, ophthalmolepis lineolatus.

I believe the Maori element references larger specimens having conspicuous blue lines radiating from the eyes resembling Maori tattoos.

Have eaten maori wrasse a few times, a reasonable fish to eat. Best to remove the fillets, then remove the skin and bones.

Maybe lose a few points there Scratchie, but they are way in front of those bloody mowies.
