Monday fad and 70-130 fathoms

Hi readers, we headed out yesterday firstly to the sydney north fad ........ A lot of boats on it and not many fish spotted. Quite a few fish traps around so fished them and there were plenty of undersized dolphin fish. Water blueish though a bit "dirty'. We then headed out to 70 fathoms off longy and trolled east. Not much happening, no bait, no birds and water a touch green though was getting better as we went east. Temp was 21.3-21.6. Wind got up when we hit 130 fathoms so pushed back in to the fad hoping for some bigger dollies. Had a fish of over a meter swim to the boat but it didn't eat anything we threw at it (including the last of our live slimies). Wind was at 22-25 knots at this stage so called it a day. On the way back in we went over a spot I marked on the way out in 34 fathoms where there was plenty of bait marked on the sounder - sure enough there were birds everywhere and the water looked good. That would have been the spot! Checked the charts again this morning and it looks like the warm water has come In over night.........Ide say there will be plenty of fish caught today. Tight lines.

hi fellers first time to ask . we fish out of botany bay, boat name how big my name derek pitman where can we get slimies for live bait, yesterday trolled out to browns and trolled east and north no luck got too sloppy and came in some warm spots no fish ,

Hi Derek , you'll have no probs picking up yakkas near molinox point : 33.58.913 - 151.12.577.

You may pick up slimmys there , but we generally get out there , pick them up on the sounder and catch them. Good luck.

we sat out the wind in close at blue fish and headed out when in eased found the bait and birds every were at longreef wide worked the area for 3 hours for zip headed to the shelf then back in for zip cheers gary
