Crossfire63
Today we lost a great Australian and I for one will miss the dulcet tones of Ritchie Benaud. The rest of the crew just don't cut it like Ritchie did

boattart
When famous people pass there is always a huge outcoming of affection. Maybe one of Ritchie's greatest attributes is he had NO critics.
GreyNurse
It says something about the status of the man when you can refer to him by just his first name and evryone immediately knows who your talking about. Couple that with the great memories he evokes and you have someone who has surpassed excellence.

Guest no one
I always remember the first Scottish rugby game I watched after Bill Maclarens death. It was sad and I'll never forget the voice which I grew up listening to! Losing great commentators is a game changing event, almost as much as losing a great player. Sad times! Ryder
RIP My good man. Ritchie Benaud was an inspiration to all young cricketers of my generation. He was the first person I saw on colour TV. 1977. We couldn't afford it before. Sadly missed
