help buying a jigging rod

Hey all been looking at buying a jigging rod to chase kings outside kinda like the ian miller 24 to 34kg but ask use guys wat use recommend my limit i wana spend is $280 thanks

Hi mate, look at something in 24kg or 50lb range.

Pretty much perfect for kings on the reefs.

Not sure what's available in your price range.

Been using a t- curve 24kg spin /jig for years now and can't fault them. Couple with a decent reel and you should be right

Hi guys,

Sorry to bump an old thread, but what sort of reel would you suggest for this?

I've got a T-curve deep jigging spin 200, but I put an existing 4000 reel on it which is a fair bit under powered. I was recommended a Saragosa 8000. But I was kinda hoping to spend not much more than $250 odd at the most. Any suggestions or is it worth it to bite the bullet?

A spheros 8000 will be perfect with that rod. Strong and should cost about $300!
