0 NaClH2OK9
Difficult to answer if they get bigger when we can't see how big that one is. I don't think they are that bad eating. Ok in fish cakes.
0 Vendee
I keep a few for a feed. They are pretty decent to eat. Make fillets and bake in oven.

0 oz_brett
Terrible plate fish. If you catch them with me you are minus points! Absolute pests! the sweetest fish in the ocean, steamed then pour over them a light sauce made from fine chopped spring onions, soy sce & boiling water. I will give double points if you give them to me to eat :-) I think they only grow to about 25-30cm Edited August 16, 2015 by oz_brett

0 Blackfish
Funny thing is when I was young ..... yes I was one once, some called them Newcastle Bream, I think more of a reference to Newcastle Harbours water colour. Seen them around 500gr.

0 thefisherman6784
Sweep get very annoying when collecting live bait or when they come invade your bait in huge swarms off the rocks I got one on a offshore reef off Sydney that measured 36cm but I would think they don't get to much bigger

Couldn't get rid of the bastards, so minus 40 points today! If you like them that much, take a trip to broughton island and you'll bag out in 3 minutes!
