rookiefisher Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 hi guys i am new to this website and am wondering if any of you guy would be willing enough to share your tactics on targeting kingfish and jewfish in middle harbour eg gear, spots, lures, bait etc. i will be fishing out of a kayak. i normally go fishing up around sugarloaf bay and roseville for the bread and butter species but i want to target something a little bit bigger then bream or whiting. any advise would be great and useful. kind regards charlie
mii11x Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Ive never fished the harbour mate and never tried targeting kings anywhere, but i know jews. I can give you some advice on bait that would work for both species. Catch local bait yourself mate, yellowtail and squid. Not sure if this is applicable to kings but try spin up some tailor also for the jews - remember tailor has to be legal length (30cm) to be used as bait. As far as plastics go for jews, 5-7inch paddletails/shads work well, so too soft vibes man. Hope this help you a little
mii11x Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 lol, does that mean your name is "pilchard" hahaha.....good luck with it mate
