simon_s
G'day, I'm Simon from Bowral NSW. I'm relatively new to fishing, sparked by an interest with my Californian father-in-law. I have a decent kit so far consisting of two rods and reels, and th basic set of soft and hard lures. I would love any help in fishing around the south coast area, from Wollongong to Nowra. I'd be pretty keen to catch Bream, flatties, EP's or anything else that can be caught of the wharf or river bank. any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Simon

big Neil
G'day Simon and welcome to Fishraider. Alas you're like me in that you live a long way from where most members are and therefore will find it hard to actually meet any of the "Raiders". Don't be deterred though, there's plenty of info on the internet and on Fishraider for you to pick through. I seldom go to the South Coast as it's a 7 hrs drive for me but when I do I always manage to catch fish...flatties, bream, snapper, trevally (the usual bread and butter stuff). I could suggest you check out if there's a local fishing club to join. Pretty sure there would be...or do what I do. Teach yourself and put the time in. Estuary fishing with either bait or soft plastics is about timing. Fish feed better at specific times of the tide, depending where you're fishing. Do some research and get into it, join a fishing club and I'm sure you'll be rewarded. Cheers, Neil
