Headed out early up from Lilli Pilli. Pulled out the 2 tailor on pillies, and the trevally on a fish strip on a hand line. Some time between bites. A live yakka just kept swimming around until time to leave.

Once the tide started to run up, I tried a Gulp plastic for some time over the shallow flats, until I pulled out the 2 flatties within a few casts of each other. Enough fish for me, so I headed home. Quite a few boats buzzing about.

Good stuff yowie that's a solid trevally too :)

Thanks Krispy, put up a good fight on the handline.

The larger flattie hit the plastic rather hard, and swallowed it straight down his gob. The 6 pound mono just held on long enough to get him into the net.

Well done Yowie

That trevally would have been good fun on the hand line! I usually only get them to 40cm in Swansea and they go pretty hard at that size!
