Eaglehawk Neck Tasmania

Well its that time of year again, went to visit my brother and hes family with my wife and had a blast again, we chased octopus in Pirate Bay, we chased The Fish out of eaglehawk neck and come up with Blue fin Tuna, Blue eye cod and arrow squid,

We checked out the local Markets at Salamaca etc, Loved every minute of it, Hope my brother stays in Tasmania all hes life lol, Here a few pics to entertain you

one of the relos but not my brothers, but and amazing set up , Johnny rebuilt this machine himself

Well done boys! Groper was this just recently, didn't know you could score blue fin tuna in summer in Tassie. Also off Sydney we get blue eye at ~400m, in Tassie what depths are the blue eyes at. Many thanks for the post , what a great country we live in. :au::D

Salamanca markets are the best markets in Aus, and I have visited quite a few markets.

Great seafood, food, wine down in Tassie, but the winters are a bit too cold and windy on the west coast.

Do you visit Bicheno? Eat at the restaurant on the beach, eat lobster caught that morning and watch the penguins waddle up the beach just on dark.

Well the Locals are surprised as the Blue fin are very early this year and they not complaining lol and the blue eye was caught in 450 meters of water, yep the Lucky country :)

thanks yowie , loved the markets , second time there and we did the restaurants but not Bicheno , we gad our own Lobsters , one of our relos kept a couple for us, oh yumo

Thanks Hawkesbass Tasmania is amazing, the fishing is a Big bonus down there, Last time I was Down there, it Octopus, Lobster and Abalone
