Guest hawkesbass
Went off the stones this morning with royce in the eastern suburbs. Arrived to beautifull conditions for a rocks session. The fishing started slow with barely a touch in the first hour on the dropping tide. Royce got the first fish in being a juvenile drummer then he got another undersized drummer. I put the first legal luderick in the net a little while later. Royce hooked a couple of luderick but pulled the hooks. My turn next for a drummer hook up with this fish spinning the centrepin in my hands i managed to turn him and got it half way in before he took another dive for cover popping the 6 pound leader. About two hours into the runout we moved to a lower edge that became fishable with the lower water level. Royce was first to come up trumps putting his first luderick in the net for the day being a healthy mid thirties cm fish. For the next 1.5 hours we went fish for fish with each other on the luderick getting the odd juvenile pig also. called it quits just before the botton of the tide. Kept the drummer and 8 luderick for a feed releasing the rest. All fish well conditioned with thick shoulders. Will attach pic in replies. cheers trevor. Ryder
Sounds like a good session mate. Nice going. Good to go early, before the wind gets up. It could have blown a dog off its chain in the arvo.
