Fab1
I was doing a tidy up of my boat today and started thinking what I get a lot of use from when out in the boat. I'd say these chicken scissors have been worth their weight in gold for various tasks.I use them to cut line, rope, bleed fish, gut fish and crimp split shot on my rigs. The best thing is they simply twist apart in two pieces and are so easy to clean and are a breeze to sharpen. Cheers.
Greyfox
That is a great idea, will have to look at getting a pair of them. I like how they come apart great to clean and sharpen like you said.

big Neil
Lip grips would be my favourite tool...means I've caught a decent fish. After that would be long nosed pliers for getting hooks out, straightening spinner baits which have been knocked around and crimping split shot on the line. However, if I was to think a bit deeper about your question I could add plenty more nifty tools. Cheers Fabian.
SquidMarks
cheap pair of nail clippers for trimming line is always underrated and an old philips head screwdriver ground to a point on a bench grinder works wonders for spiking fish!
Welster
The best tool for cubing pillies so much cleaner than a knife, just hang the pillie over the water and chop away.
luderick -angler
My favourite to for saltwater is my home made toothbrush hook disgorger for the luderick! And for fly fishing for trout my nippers and NZ indicator tool!

We were half joking about a battery jigsaw and going through the whole block.
