Guest Guest123456789
Fisheries really need to extend the commercial fishing ban to 3km from land to stop this sort of thing. They're meant to be clear of box head but clearly that's not working, gill traps around the mouth of BRissy waters are smashing the prized Mulloway stocks in the system. Scratchie
Fisheries are certainly out and about. My son and his mates were stopped the other day and had their catch examined after they exited the water. Obviously they were all good or I'd kick his butt. Although the fisheries were really good to them and gave them measuring instruments, books etc but also said they had watched them for 3 hours! Good to see them around!!! Blackfish
I thought they looked like Flathead. Some looked like they've been filleted just behind the rib cage.

fragmeister
I thought they looked like Flathead. Some looked like they've been filleted just behind the rib cage. Yes. that how I saw it. That is wasteful and pretty lazy but I guess thats what you would expect from someone who has no regard for the rules. Jim
Ivo
Disgusting stuff. However was just reading the last thread on the super trawlers. And not to diminish what this guy has done but they'll only get up to a $44,000 fine, while the super-trawlers get fined $40,000 for dumping 1000 truckloads of wastewater. Seems a bit unreasonable. Imo they need to up the fines for the big companies.
redfish71
i used to fish at the Entrance lake and was astounded at the amount of parents who let their kids throw small fish to the pelicans after they have been caught instead of just putting them back in the water, the fish were so small. And also if you did catch a decent fish you would have to play tug o war with the the Cormarants to try and get your fish back, i was fishing at 10pm one night and the fisheries asked me for a licence which i had, so i goes to show the fisheries can just pop up anywhere, anytime.
