Great catch on the worms and I agree with your sentiments. Only take the occasional one to feed to the family, so might be time next week for me to have another crack for one as well.

Thanks fellas, I won't lie I'm holding the fish forward in the photos lol. It cooked up great and will feed us for a week easy ?

Haha ide like to think so rick, definitely still a novice though in terms of jew fisherman lol. I think always having a good supply of beach worms has helped me the most. Since using them hookup rate has gone up a lot

Cheers, mainline was 30lb mono to a 40lb fluoro leader. Which was more than enough. 4ounce running star sinker on a clip, 600mm leader and a 5/0 owner long shank

Cheers guys many kind words, it's been a magic few weeks off the beaches up here the waters warmed up real nice :) hopefully it sticks around

If it's a big worm use half, medium to small worms Ill use the whole thing. Threaded up the hook shank and leader ?
