In shore flatheads

Hi Raiders, as the forecast looks good for tomorrow 5/1/18 I want to try a drift for flathead off manly surfbeach, Im in a 4,29 runabout and have limited inshore experience can anybody tell me how far out the grounds are or what I should look for on the sounder? Thanks Bill

Did the drift perfect conditions early only managed a red rock cod and a blue spot also lost something very big bit me off but had a very enjoyable day

Makos and other sharks frequent the reefs off manly, have tangled with them often...(and always came out the loser)

i think this time of year you will find the flatties in deeper water- 50m ++ 

Try that spot again in march/April when they come inshore to breed..... they are prolofic
