Shoalhaven River - powered boat restrictions?

Hello,

 

Does anyone know how far up the shoalhaven river I can go from the nowra bridge in a tinny?

I just noticed on the navionics app it says "ALL POWER BOATS PROHIBITED AREA" about 2km up the river from the bridge, but I have never heard of there being restrictions on powered boats up there?

Hoping to head down that way to chase some jewfish soon so would be glad of any advice.

That's news to me. Although I don't head up there often myself, ski boats and bass fishermen are up there all the time.

The first physical barrier is upstream of Grady's Riverside Retreat,  up in the fresh.

It says no entering feeder creeks caution of shallow water.

Its important to check RMS waterway maps & the NSW DPI website regularly at lots of access & conditions change.

 

I recently found out about some changes to my local fishery by change but or some reason the onus is on you to know all the rules & regulations even when they change, probably like road rules I guess!!
