Joining braid lines.

Can I join braid lines with a plait as you would when plaiting a double for game fishing or joining lines for filling the reel?

I normally use a loop to loop- in braid a bimini is much easier to tie than a plait, 50 turn bimini's in both lines and use a 5-6 twist catspaw to join up, lots of spit to pull it SLOWLY tight and i doubt you will have a problem

I have used a double uni with success in a pinch when I cutout a wind knot but only to keep fishing I dont join braid as a rule.
