(Platycephalus caeruleopunctatus) There has been confusion about Spikey/Longspine Flathead (Previously posted) and Bluespotted Flathead so here is a Blue Spotted Flathead. 0 Yowie Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Correct. The tail flag is the best method of I.D., however, still confusing some fishos who don't catch many ocean flatties. Some blue spots do turn up in deeper water estuaries.
