slothparade
I have caught kingfish before but am unsure of what gear i should be using for land based (walsh bay peir 8). I have caught one from here before but that was on my shark setup (squall 50 vsw on a roller tip rod 5.6 ft). i have 3 reels including the squall which i have been told will work for them but am unsure, need others advice 1. spinfisher 950 ssm - 30 lb mono 2. sienna 4000 fe - 20 lb braid with 50 lb leader 3. squall 50 vsw - 80 lb mono planning on using live slimy mackerel or yakas, which im planning on catching from the warf as well as I've been told they are there in great numbers

slothparade
I already caught one there before on the squall. But it's quite heavy to carry since I have to chatch trains and walk. So I was wondering if any of the other options would have the next highest chance. My spool of 50 lb braid comes 1 day to late.
