Got woken up at 4:30am this morning. What to do? Go fishing of course!

Drove to Rushcutters Bay in search of breakfast. Started up near the yacht club and cast a 2.5 inch gulp minnow under the wharf. Got a hit on the drop, and wasn't ready for it.

A few casts later, I got a 43cm flathead:

Entertained myself on the hunting schools of tailor for a while. Nothing of any size, but it was good fun, until they wrecked my lure. Then I decided to put my mind back on task. Got another legal flathead and then the bite went quiet for another hour. Went home and enjoyed the fish for breakfast. Doesn't come fresher than that!
