Swansea Chanel Friday.

Recommended Posts

Arrived around 2pm because of the nasty weather. Big mistake.

Chasing Blackfish again.

Brought two rods. One set up for Blackfish, with the float & the rest of the gear. With green weed.

The other rod. Straight out spin rod with a small sinker & size 10 hook & green peas & scent.

Using blackfish berley with green peas

Caught 2 straight away on green peas.

All of a sudden I had company from another 3 guys. You know what I mean. We can't catch any fish ,how come you are ?

Question, what are the green peas for ?  Answer my lunch.

Time to move on. Lost interest.

Never on a Friday afternoon again.Neighbours will not be happy.

Cheers.

Green peas for lunch😆. Not sure that would make much of a meal. I guess some people can’t put two and two together and don’t have any respect when it comes to fishing spots and keeping their distance.

At least you got out. Well done

@BurgerHi, I mixed weed, sand & peas in with the berley.

I like to look outside the square when I do things, that includes fishing.

I read about the green peas sometime ago.

The same with using a normal spin rod. A guy wrote an article on how to catch blackfish on a  spin rod.

I like to experiment. If it works fine. If it doesn't, back to the drawing board.

Cheers.

 Cheers @Rebel

Experimenting is definitely part of the fun!

There’s a video of a Sydney fishing guide using a spin rod for luds, however he’s in a boat.

There’s certainly plenty of spots where you won’t need the usual long rod.

cheers,  stu
