Managed to get out and target my beloved bass on Saturday thanks to a very welcome break in the weather.

Not sure if it’s just that it’s been so long between trips or these fish were extra feisty after spawning but both fish fought extremely hard and jumped clear of the water like little barra. God it’s good to be back on the water doing what I love again.

Bith fish were taken on top water, only around the 30cm mark but big enough to have some fun on the light gear as always.

Good onya Lastworm. I'm itching for the Murray Cod season to open, although I may not be fishing for them as the river is still in flood and there's only a month to go. Good luck with the rest of the season. bn

Yeah these rain events are really killing things as far as fishing is concerned, especially after we've all been locked away for two years.

I think we have one more La Ninia event in Nov and we should be in the clear, but who knows...

Gotta love a bit of bassin. What lure did you use?

Cheers

Dstyle Reserve, first and often only thing I throw, always seems to produce fish.
