Snuck down to the local on 2 wheels for a quick evening session on the bass. The plan was to start with crankbaits then switch to surface as the sun set.

First cast into a tiny backwater, and boom... a micro bass smacks the lure. A few minutes later another slightly larger fish is landed.

Switched to a jitterbug to try muster up some top water action. I was quickly rewarded with another psyco micro bass. As the light was fading I got a good hit and drop. Cast to the same spot for another smack. Goodo, this fish is hungry! Third time lucky, landed a nice mid 30s specimen which put up a nice little fight.

Good little session with 4 fish in under an hour.

Yes, I do wonder where the small fish hide out in times of flood ?

Thanks guys.

The bass make the journey down to the salt and back every year to breed anyway, so I think getting back upstream after flooding wouldn't be an issue.

@Little_Flatty gotta love bike fishing... opens up so many new areas and allows you to cover a lot more ground
