Are you using the foot control or remote control?

If using the foot control unplug it and check the contacts in the connector for corrosion .

If using the remote control you may have to re link it and change the battery.

I found a series of videos on YouTube by Jarvis walker showing how to repair water snake units , doesn’t specifically show the combat but I would say they would all share common components .

Or if you don’t want to use the link provided go to YouTube and search for Jarvis walker brands - go to play list then look for water snake information and service ideas .

In one video they show how to replace the control cable and plug which looks to be exactly the same as the one on my 2003 min Kota, I had a similar issue with my plug where the contacts corroded but a hit with a small wire brush fixed mine and I then drowned it with lanotec to stop it doing it  again .
