Should be heading out next Sunday with some luck and wondering if it's worth targeting them. G'day mate, i tried for them last saturday morning, trolling a fresh squid, got one run, dont know what it was though as it didnt hook up, might have even been a snag! robthefisherman
Heard a report today that they've been getting some to 65cm around the moorings in south west arm, so might give that a shot.
Gibbofisho
i landed a small one about 50m south of the southern head of bate bay on a trolled skirt maybe 2-3 weeks ago. if you can, just troll south with very small pink skirts or if thats not your cup of tea live bait the bommie which i cant remember the name of but can easily been seen slightly S/E of south head Jibbon? I was catching slimies and yakkas around the moorings in South West Arm on saturday as well, it wouldn;t supprise me at all if there were kings lurking! Gibbofisho
ive still never fished or dived that bommie, its suposed to hold some good fish at the right time of year, i've heard rumours of marlin being taken in and around the bommie.

Gibbofisho
its a bit of reef or rock that either sits just under the water and rises up from the bottom, not following the standard bottom depth!
