Jewies at Windang

Hey Guys,

I am off to windang next week and I am going off the beach I am wondering has any one caught jewies or kingies off the beach, if so how and what with

Living a bit further down the coast, I'm not familiar with Windang though most south coast beaches will fish roughly the same.
Kingfish are a pretty rare capture from the beach, so of the two species you mention, I would be concentrating more on jewfish.

Use the freshest bait you can get your hands on. Mullet and tailor slabs or squid, (a fresh squid head with the tentacles still attached) are what I'd recommend, fished on a running paternoster rig. You don't need heavy line unless there's a lot of rocks around. 20-30lb mainline is fine with a 40-50lb trace.
