Help needed Avoca area

Hi All. 

We are joining other families in Avoca for Easter and one of the dads in the group has asked me to take his 16yr old son fishing. The boy is super keen, well mannered and pretty skilled at fishing too. The only problem is his dad has little interest in fishing. The plan is to target Bonnitos and any other pelagic species. We have got cleats and life jackets. I have never fished Avoca before. I would appreciate your advice on the surrounding locations.

Avoca ledge gets very busy  also gets hit hard with swell that pops up out of nowhere  if any sea is running try rocks at terrigal haven  there should be frigates n bonnies there
