DerekD
When mentoring people I tell them a flathead is an ambush predator waiting on the bottom for the food to come swimming past so the idea is to cover ground and bounce the lure along the bottom. This gentleman was fortunate and patient enough to catch several flathead strikes on a lure from above. First the missed strike: Now the one that didn't get away: Edited May 5, 2023 by DerekD

seasponge
That wounded lure took off pretty quick 😉 Makes you wonder if she would've had another crack if the lure hung around for a bit after the first missed strike.
