Fish ID please (Southern Herring)

My guess would be a Estuary Glassfish as opposed to a Port Jackson Glassfish that have a different dorsal which have come up on here before.

The Australian Herring have marks on the side of their body and a black spot on the top and bottom tip of their tails.

Always happy to be corrected though.

That's correct, but....we have always just called them Herring, you don't catch that many of them, so they were always just lumped under "Herring" (to me) the fish we call a "Glassy" is much more cylindrical in shape, that one appears to be kind of flat sided. I might look it up later, just for kicks.
