More commonly used in freshwater for trout and redfin etc.   I found that spinning blade lures are best fished slowly just fast enough to get blade going.  Ron

Yes thanks campr, I thought the same thing as @DerekD had me using a spinner for bass at manly dam a few years back. This was found in saltwater today (the Cooks) - chasing EP perhaps which are currently hanging out at lots of the bridges here.

Yep, it's a type of inline spinnerbait. Very effective lure when used in slow-flowing or still waters. Cast near snags, allow to sink, and slowly retrieve, with the rod tip down.

I have a similar lure purchased from Europe, the body is not perfectly inline so it doesn't spin, it  rocks from side to side a bit. I've only tried my lure for a little bit at TCD, didn't do any good  but intend to do more testing
