Mike Sydney Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Pulled this out of a river when my lure snagged its line - anybody know what it is - and how to fish it…?
campr Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 More commonly used in freshwater for trout and redfin etc. I found that spinning blade lures are best fished slowly just fast enough to get blade going. Ron 1

Ron Yes thanks campr, I thought the same thing as @DerekD had me using a spinner for bass at manly dam a few years back. This was found in saltwater today (the Cooks) - chasing EP perhaps which are currently hanging out at lots of the bridges here. Edited September 14, 2023 by Mike Sydney
big Neil Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Yep, it's a type of inline spinnerbait. Very effective lure when used in slow-flowing or still waters. Cast near snags, allow to sink, and slowly retrieve, with the rod tip down. bn 2
cfish Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I have a similar lure purchased from Europe, the body is not perfectly inline so it doesn't spin, it rocks from side to side a bit. I've only tried my lure for a little bit at TCD, didn't do any good but intend to do more testing 2
